A note to our CC family.
As most of you are aware, we temporarily closed the doors to our salon just over a week ago. The week before we closed was one of the toughest in our careers. We wanted to continue so as not to let our clients down, but we were torn with guilt that we could be putting ourselves, our clients and our loved ones at risk of illness.
As our clients, you will know that our main priority is always fulfilling your needs as best as we can, and as timely as we can. But the COVID-19 situation changed very quickly and we know that many of our clients will have not had the foresight to book in for maintenance before closures became mandatory.
We understand that some of you will be panicking about your hair and how you will keep it maintained during this period. Believe us, the fact that we cannot help is very stressful for us too. As mentioned previously, we are compiling a PRIORITY LIST, so if you need in ASAP, please drop us a message so we can add you to this list whereby we will contact you to get you in as soon as it is safe to resume business. We are in no doubt that we will be dealing with a large back log once we reopen, and we promise to do our best to accommodate everyone as best as we physically can.
Our phones will be diverted in the meantime should anyone have any questions (0131 229 2299), and we will be on hand to answer emails (info@crowncouture.co.uk) or DMs. If you feel that your hair extensions or hair unit is becoming too loose and could potentially cause damage to your hair, we would be happy to talk you through how to remove them/it temporarily until we can arrange to see you. For some of you – specifically our LA weave and certain hair replacement clients – sewing clips to your wefts or hair unit will be an option until we can fit them again permanently. If you need advice on how to do this, please call us. Although we can’t get to you physically, we are still on the other end of the phone if you need help.
We will also be sending out a mailer soon with information and advice on how to help you keep your hair in order during lockdown.
This forced closure has only highlighted to us how much we love our work and how much we miss our clients when we don’t see them. Many of you have become our friends over the years and we have been through many life events together. We have laughed and we have cried. Some of you who we saw in the last week or two before closing expressed your concern for us, and as such we would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your continued support and kind words during such a worrying and uncertain time.
We are aware that we have many clients who are front line and key workers, working directly with the vulnerable and ill patients, as well as serving the public in essential retail/services. To you, we thank you for all your hard work, and we hope that you all stay safe. We hope that everyone else is surviving isolation or social distancing, and that you and your families are all healthy.
Much love to you all, our valued clients. We cannot wait to catch up with you all again as soon as we can reopen. Stay safe, stay healthy and stay positive.
Love
Nikki & Lorraine
